Having met Jennifer at an event in March of this year I took an interest in the Road to Logistics program, the format is not something I am a stranger to having been involved for the last couple of years in the working out scheme in which I employed a number of ex offenders very successfully.
Road to Logistics is a genius and massively worthwhile program, so far after attending a further meeting in May I have successfully employed two individuals, one as a mechanic and one as an LGV driver.
Both of the candidates were extremely keen to re-enter the workplace and came across as genuinely grateful for the opportunity. I believe this is a lot to do with the vetting process and introductory advice given prior to entering the program.
From experience I have found some excellent hard-working and dedicated individuals through the schemes and honestly feel that more needs to be done to help people who have made mistakes to become fully functioning members of the community and avoid the path that may lead to re-offending.
The Road to Logistics program has been even in such a short period of time a worthwhile and beneficial means of dealing with the skills shortage in the transport industry and also given another chance to those who may well have not had such an opportunity.
I am proud to be part of this program and sincerely hope it continues and grows.

Road to Logistics are in the process of delivering a pilot working with serving prisoners. They delivered a thoroughly engaging course to 7 men within the prison. This was a mix of sessions, delivered by various industry professionals.
The men are on their way to acquiring their HGV licences. It’s great that Road to Logistics are supporting men with job outcomes, with some of the men already in employment.

I first met Jenn at an employer event at our local Headquarters at the end of 2023. Her presentation style was infectious, and you could tell she was passionate about helping people back into employment.
We had many discussions regarding how we could run and fund the course and Jenn and her colleagues were always helpful in supporting us get the course up and running. The guys on th course have given incredible feedback about the quality of the material and the professional and engaging way in which the tutors delivered it.
We are delighted to have been able to run the course and it has been so rewarding as staff to watch the learners complete each step and work towards their final goals.

To whom it may concern:
I worked with Road to Logistics in my capacity of COO at John Raymond Transport. John Raymond Transport is a large haulage business, and we had continuous vacancies for HGV Drivers. I selected Road to Logistics to work with for several reasons, firstly I felt that their training program was far more comprehensive than the standard driving schools offer, teaching their learners how to map read, understand the consequence of bridge strikes, and gave a much greater depth of learning than usual vocational courses offer. Secondly, I liked how we as the employer could get involved with the training from the outset, ensuring that the drivers fully understood their role before they started their contract, and we got to know them as people during the process.
Finally, as a good-sized operator, we had commitments to fulfill around Corporate and Social Responsibility. This is something I take seriously, and it was refreshing to meet a training provider that met my vision around Diversity and Inclusion and who I could rely on to assist me with meeting our business objectives in supporting more vulnerable local people into employment with John Raymond Transport. Our program with Road to Logistics was a great success and whilst I have moved on, several of the learners on the program are still working for the company and are doing a great job.
I would highly recommend Road to Logistics as an effective training provider who act as a true partner in achieving the objectives of the employers they work with.
