Jennifer Swain Named Finalist for Industry Champion Award at the 2026 Everywoman in Transport & Logistics Awards

Road to Logistics is proud to announce that our very own Managing Director, Jennifer Swain, has been named a finalist in the Industry Champion Award category at the prestigious 2026 Everywoman in Transport & Logistics Awards.

This category recognises female pioneers whose ongoing commitment to supporting women in transport and logistics has led to measurable and lasting change. Jennifer’s nomination recognises her ongoing work to create opportunities and help more women build successful careers in the industry.

Jennifer Swain Creating Opportunities and Driving Lasting Impact

Jennifer’s most significant achievement to date has been founding Road to Logistics, a scalable and innovative pathway into employment that has supported over 700 individuals facing barriers to work into sustainable careers.

This work not only transforms lives but also tackles one of the industry’s most pressing challenges, workforce shortages. By connecting untapped talent with real job opportunities, Jennifer has created a model that delivers both social impact and commercial value.

A Training Model That Works

Recognising that traditional training programmes often failed to translate into real job outcomes, Jennifer worked collaboratively with employers to design training that actually leads to logistics roles. This approach makes sure candidates are job-ready and set up for success.

Her model specifically supports underrepresented groups, including women, long-term unemployed individuals, ex-offenders, people with neurodiversity and care leavers, helping to widen access to the industry.

And the results speak for themselves:

  • 89% of participants progress into employment
  • 70% were previously long-term unemployed
  • Employers benefit from faster, more reliable recruitment processes

Supporting Women and Challenging the Status Quo

Jennifer’s work goes far beyond programme delivery, she has driven cultural change for women in logistics.

By creating inclusive training opportunities, actively championing female participation, and working with employers to challenge outdated perceptions, Jennifer is helping to reshape the industry. Her efforts are opening doors for more women to enter, progress, and build long-term careers in a traditionally male-dominated sector.

Inspiring Future Leaders

Jennifer is passionate about encouraging more women to step into the industry and realise their potential.

“Don’t let the industry’s history define your future. Logistics offers huge opportunity, and your skills and perspective are needed. Be confident, stay curious, build strong relationships, and never be afraid to take up space, because the sector needs more women to lead and drive change!” — Jennifer Swain.

A Proud Moment for Road to Logistics

Everyone at Road to Logistics is incredibly proud of Jennifer’s achievements and the difference she continues to make, supporting individuals, strengthening the workforce, and helping to build a more diverse and sustainable future for our industry.

We’re looking forward to celebrating all the finalists on 24th June at the Royal Lancaster in London.
