It’s been a busy and exciting few weeks for Road to Logistics, with a string of award wins, industry recognition and a very special honour for Managing Director Jennifer Swain MBE.
While we’re incredibly proud of these achievements, they mean much more than trophies and titles. They reflect the work being done every day to help people gain new skills, access rewarding careers in logistics and connect employers with talented individuals who are ready to make a difference.
Jennifer Swain awarded MBE for services to Transport & Logistics
One of the biggest recent highlights of the month was the news that Jennifer Swain, Managing Director of Road to Logistics, has been awarded an MBE for Services to Transport & Logistics.

Since joining the organisation in 2020, Jennnifer has helped drive Road to Logistics’ growth and impact, championing a different approach to tackling skills shortages by connecting employers with motivated people who may previously have been overlooked. Under her leadership, the organisation has supported hundreds of individuals into employment while helping businesses build stronger and more diverse workforces.
It’s a fantastic and well-deserved recognition of Jennifer’s dedication to both the industry and the people within it.
Everywoman in Transport & Logistics Industry Champion Award
The celebrations didn’t stop there, with Jennifer also being named Industry Champion at the Everywoman in Transport & Logistics Awards.
The award recognises those who are helping drive meaningful change for women across the sector, and Jennifer’s work continues to do exactly that. From opening doors to creating more inclusive pathways into logistics careers, she has been a passionate advocate for ensuring opportunities are accessible to everyone.
It was a proud moment not only for Road to Logistics, but for the wider industry and the women helping it shape it.
UKWA Inclusive Employment Award
Road to Logistics was also delighted to take home the Inclusive Employment Award at the UK Warehousing Association (UKWA) Awards.
We were up against some fantastic competition, making the win even more of an honour. The award recognises the work Road to Logistics does to help individuals overcome barriers to employment through training, support, and real career opportunities.
Multimodal Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Award
Another standout moment came at the Multimodal Awards, where Road to Logistics and Sysco were named winners of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Award.
The award celebrates a partnership focused on creating opportunities for people who are ready to work but haven’t always been given the chance. Through tailored training programmes and genuine routes into employment, the collaboration has helped learners gain skills, build confidence, and establish careers within logistics.
For both organisations, the award is proof of what can be achieved when businesses work together to create positive change.
CILT(UK) Excellence in People and Culture Award nomination
And the good news may not be over yet.
Road to Logistics has also been shortlisted for the Excellence in People and Culture Award at the CILT(UK) Awards for Excellence 2026.
The category recognises organisations that invest in skills, training, and inclusive workplace cultures, making it a particularly meaningful nomination for a business built around helping people succeed.
Winners will be announced on 24th September, so stay tuned to find out if we can take home another trophy!
Looking ahead
As exciting as these achievements are, they wouldn’t be possible without the support of our learners, employer partners, training providers, and wider network.
And we’re not done yet. We’ve got big plans for the future! However, we’ll continue to do what we do best: helping more people build successful careers in logistics while supporting employers to find the skilled people they need.
